Gaming

 In
conjunction with SJG,
ArmadilloCon will be featuring gaming on Saturday, August 9! We will have
awesome gaming masters who will be running the games.
There will be prizes for the tournaments and famous models will be offering
food and drinks a la Greek grapes. (Well, no models, but we will have
lots of fun.)
Sign up today to reserve your spot
for gaming at ArmadilloCon! We will be featuring 4 gaming opportunities
for Con members. We will have Chez
Geek and Munchkins
tournaments and also two RPGs: Discworld
Roleplaying Game and Transhuman
Space. (If our space fills up quickly in the RPGs, we will be opening
additional games.)
We will also have a room devoted to open gaming. Board
games will be supplied, but feel free to bring your own games to play with
your old friends or complete strangers who walk in. Run by Marty Hoff.
We will have the following games for your enjoyment: Settlers of Catan,
Puerto Rico, Kill/Save Dr. Lucky, Elfenland, Taj Mahal, Attila, Web of
Power, Lost Cities, Lord of the Rings, Trans America, Honeybears, Bluff,
Frank's Zoo, Tichu, Tightrope, 6 Nimmt!, Balloon Cup, Can't Stop.

Bios
William Garcia - Running Discworld
and the Chez Geek/Munchkin Tournament
In, 1986 William began D&D at a sprightly young man
and has evolved into a slightly portlier game master. Since beginning
gaming, he has played many, many different gaming systems, but has come
to use GURPs for just about every game, prefering it's flexibility between
gaming worlds. His gaming collection is slightly impressive to other gamers,
and scary for pretty much everyone else. As a MIB for SJG, he run GURPS,
Frag, Munchkin, and Chez Geek whenever possible.
Richard Dodson - Running Transhuman Space
and assisting in the Munchkin/Chez Geek Tournament
I began my gaming career as many of us did with Dungeons
and Dragons and AD&D, with a little Star Frontiers thrown in for good
measure. Two decades later I'm still going strong. I was introduced to
GURPS in college and have been an avid fan ever since.
Joe Vail - Munckin / Chez Geek Tournament
I have been a gamer for more than 30 years. My main interest
has always been D&D (sorry, Steve) I first learned D&D from the
5"x8" booklets and played with Dave Arneson several times. In
Arneson's FIRST FANTASY CAMPAIGN, he refers to "Count Fang and the
Fang-ettes". The Fangettes were my 2 dwarves, Frick and Frack, who
became slave-vampires under the Count. I have play-testing credits from
Steve Jackson for G.E.V., MELEE, WIZARD, and his first attempt at a role-playing
system, THE FANTASY TRIP (remember Metagaming Concepts?). I was heavily
into Magic:The Addiction, oops-I mean Gathering for several years and
am still looking for a buyer for my collections. I worked for SJG for
about a year and a half, in the casting department until ill health (oxymoron?)
forced my resignation. Currently, I play MUNCHKIN, CHEZ GEEK, ILLUMINATI,
D&D, CHAMPIONS, GURPS, HEROCLIX, M:TG, boardgames, and just about
anything else I can. I have a 30 year collection of gaming paraphenalia
and have (to have) one bedroom devoted to my hobby.
