Purpose:
Provide a consistently high-quality
art show for the World Fantasy Convention,
focusing on the art of the fantastic.
We
are currently tabulating the jury
votes. If your art is one of the
entries, we will e-mail you in mid=July.
We will also be keeping a list of
all entrants. If someone has to drop
out of the art show, we will contact
another entrant.
We
will also be sending out fees information
at this time. You will be expected
to pay this amount in order to be
confirmed for the art show.
Please
be aware that all art in the show
will be original pieces. (The only
exception to this is for computer
art as in the case of John Picacio.
They must be exhibited as single copies
of fine art prints or other limited-edition works.
They must be labeled as reproductions.) If you
have a question regarding whether
or not your art is acceptable, please
contact us and we will let you know.
Print
shop is limitted to World Fantasy
artist guests and World Fantasy Artist
Award nominees. If you are in one
of these two groups, please let us
know if you would like to be in the
print shop as well so that we can
better judge our space. Print shop
entries must be in addition to showcasing
original art on a panel(s).
I
understand that you may have a question
regarding this process and our art
show. Please don't hesitate to contact
us!
Sincerely,
Kimm

WFC
Art Show Guidelines
Purpose:
Provide a consistently high-quality
art show for the World Fantasy
Convention, focusing on the art
of the fantastic.
Exhibitors:
1.
Past WFC artist guests of honor
and past and current World Fantasy
Best Artist nominees are invited
to exhibit their current works.
2. Artists
who have shown at 3 of the previous
6 WFCs are invited to exhibit their
current works.
3. All

4. All

should be original pieces with
the exception of those artists
who do not create the traditional "original" piece

such as these must be exhibited
as single copies of fine art
prints or other limited-edition
works. They must also be
labeled as reproductions.
5.
Artists who have not exhibited to
WFC regularly should submit
their work to be juried. Please
see the website for more details.
6. Five
new artists must be accepted
into the art show based on the
caliber of their work and how
well they meet the fantasy theme.
We
are please to announce that the
following artists have so far
been confirmed for the World Fantasy
2006 art show. Please check back
for more artists!

nominees, they went through a jury
selection or they have exhibited
in 3 of the last 6 World Fantasy
