We are a book discussion group in Austin, TX that has been discussing SF and fantasy novels since since Spring 1994.<\/p>\n
Meetings are held on the first and third Monday\u00a0of each month at 7PM. \u00a0Meetings sites alternate among the\u00a0North Village Branch<\/a> of the Austin Public Library.the Milwood Branch<\/a>, the Yarborough<\/a> branch, and the organizer’s home.<\/p>\n Our primary activity is discussing books. Summaries of meetings are available on our website.<\/p>\n We’ve taken authors out to dinner: Aaron Allston<\/a>, Julie E. Czerneda<\/a>, Bradley Denton<\/a>, Peter F. Hamilton<\/a>, Robin Hobb, James P. Hogan<\/a>, Katharine Eliska Kimbriel<\/a>, Ian McDonald,\u00a0Maureen F. McHugh<\/a>, Elizabeth Moon<\/a>, James Morrow<\/a>, Patrice Sarath<\/a>, William Browning Spencer<\/a>, Sean Stewart<\/a>, Charles Stross, Vernor Vinge, and Martha Wells.<\/p>\n Our discussions are open to all comers.<\/p>\n We’ve been sponsored since the beginning by The Fandom Association of Central Texas<\/a> (FACT). In summer 1995, we gained a sponsor: Adventures in Crime and Space<\/a> bookstore. In July 2007 we became an offical program of the Austin Public Library<\/a>.<\/p>\nOur Activities<\/h3>\n
