Armadillocon Art Show Agreement and Procedures
We look forward to having you join us at ArmadilloCon 22, August 18 - 20, 2000 at the Omni Austin Hotel Southpark in Austin, Texas.
We are offering 4' X 4' Panels and 6' Tables at a cost of $10.00 each. There is a limit of four (4) panels and/or two (2) tables per Artist. One may also purchase 1/2 of a table (but not 1/2 a panel!) for half the price.
ArmadilloCon 22 WILL CHARGE 15% COMMISSION ON ALL ART SHOW/AUCTION SALES.
PRINT SHOP: 10% commission plus Print Shop Fee. The Fee will be based on the number of different editions you bring. If you have 20 copies of 1 print, you will be charged for 1. If you bring 1 copy each of 20 different prints (not recommended, by the way), you will be charged for 20. Price breakdown is as follows: 1-5 editions $5; 6-10 editions $10; 11-15 editions $15; 16-20 editions $20. We will have some space for special displays. If you wish to bring a special display for your art, we will try to accommodate you, but there may be space limitations. All such requests will be handled on a case-by-case basis.
SALES: Pieces will be available for sale unless you mark them NFS. A piece can be purchased for the Quick Sale price at any time during the convention unless there is a bid on the Bid Sheet. All pieces with two or more bids will go to the Auction on Saturday night. After the Auction all pieces will be available at the 'Sunday Sale Price' if you choose to note one. Otherwise, they will still be available for Quick Sale. (We suggest a Sunday price slightly higher than Quick Sale as an incentive to purchase early.)
PAYMENT: Payment for all pieces sold will be made by check from ArmadilloCon 22 within 30 days of the end of the convention. A copy of your Control Sheet will be returned with your payment for documentation.
ACCEPTANCE: ArmadilloCon 22 reserves the right to refuse the exhibition of any piece for any reason. Works that are judged to be libelous, plagiaristic, obscene, or detrimental to the value of trademarked characters will not be permitted. Likewise, no artwork from commercial patterns, kits or molds is permitted.. All two-dimensional pieces must be matted or framed and ready for hanging.
LIABILITY: ArmadilloCon 22 will take all reasonable precautions to prevent damage or theft during the convention. ArmadilloCon 22 will not be liable for any loss or damage, which occurs during shipping. It is recommended that the Artist insure work being mailed or shipped.
ATTENDANCE: Attendance at the con by the Artist or his/his agent is, of course, encouraged but not required. ArmadilloCon 22 will accept works shipped by non-attending Artists.
SHIPPING: Art should be shipped with enough time to reach us no later than August 11, 2000. All artists shipping to the show must ship prepaid. You should utilize reusable cartons/packing material and must include sufficient postage to cover return shipping and insurance. Please specify in writing which service (UPS, Federal Express, USPS, etc.) you want your art sent back by, and the exact amount of insurance, if any. If no special instructions are given, the art will be returned via UPS. The shipping address will be provided with your Control and Bid Sheets.
COD Parcels will not be accepted. All pieces not sold will be returned to the Artist COD by UPS unless the Artist makes other arrangements for work to be returned.
Returned items will be shipped back to the Artist as soon as possible after the convention.
If you are interested in showing, please print out and complete this form and return it with your payment as soon as possible. On receipt of payment, your panels/tables will be reserved and you will receive your Control and Bid Sheets and shipping instructions. Please include a LSASE with 0.55 (2 oz) postage for your confirmation materials. You will be receiving bid sheets and your artist/print shop control sheets. Please let us know if you need more than 1 control sheet (each has room for 17 pieces).
